Brin Kinch: Ready for some new challenges in Kirkistown

Donington Park is one of my favourite tracks in the UK, and it's always a joy to come back as it never fails to put a smile on my face, regardless of results.

The weekend for myself was a mixed bag of engine issues and vibrations, but the team experienced a fantastic bag of results, including my teammate Elliott brilliantly fighting his way to his first win on UK tarmac, as well as Nolan having some great battles whilst nursing a few vibration issues of his own.

Whilst my first two races were the outcome of various mechanical issues, we ironed those out for the last race, enabling me to bring a good fight to the front pack. After a safety car lifted my hopes from a quick de-tour into the pebbles, I soon found myself applying pressure onto the pack in front, and I had to settle for 6th. Knowing I had the pace to challenge for higher positions, if not for a mistake on my behalf, is a great feeling going forward into the next round over the pond in Northern Ireland.

Kirkistown poses a new challenge, being a new circuit in a country I’m ashamed to admit I’ve yet visited in my 26 years of living. I’m looking forward to learning the track and finding the limits!
