Colin Queen: Back and raring to go!

It’s great to be back in the UK!  I’m stoked to be working with Andy Low and the crew at Ammonite Motorsport again. Here are some thoughts on the buildup and preview to my first race of 2022 in the BRSCC National Formula Ford series at Silverstone.

Over a month into my journey in the UK, I’ve completed some pre-season testing with the team at Snetterton, Donington Park and Brands Hatch. Andre Lafond, my teammate from last season, is joining me along with two new teammates, American Shawn Rashid and Englishman Brin Kinch.

Having a rookie season in the National Formula Ford Championship under my belt, I am confident with both my pace and race craft heading into the first round this weekend at Silverstone.  With plenty of fitness, sim and kart training during the off-season, I'm ready for the challenge. We will be running the 1.85-mile International Circuit with the Wing building and pit complex this weekend, which is a first for me. Racing on a new track layout I haven’t driven before will be both a challenge and an opportunity to show what I’m truly capable of. I am ecstatic to be under the Ammonite tent once again and hope to achieve great success with them this weekend and throughout the rest of the season. Let's go!
